Venues

There are currently two centres in Australia that feature fully automatic Kegel lanes.

Moonee Beach was the first venue that we established in Australia and it opened to the public in 2004.  It features 2 lanes that have been upgraded from timber surface to the latest laminate playing surface over time.  Originally there was no software available, so the players had to record their score on a blackboard.  This is how it is still played in most centres around Europe until today.

We used this venue to develop our software that interacts with the equipment and displays the scores on large monitors.  This venue is still open to the public and an ideal setting for small groups if you don’t like the hustle and bustle of a large multy-lane centre.

The two lanes can accommodate up to 16 players and is ideal for small birthday parties and social functions.

Lane hire charges are $30 per hour per lane.

Kegel Barn Coffs Harbour features the first and only full sized 9-pin bowling centre in Australia and was opened in August 07.  The fully air-conditioned venue was purpose built with the comfort and enjoyment of the customers in mind.

There are ten Kegel 9-pin bowling lanes that are fully automatic and feature a large variety of games for any age.  There are also two Tenpin Mini lanes that are shorter as the standard lanes, especially designed for the little ones.

The cafe offers a variety of food, from a small snack bar to a complete meal with very reasonable prices.

You can purchase from the bar a large variety of local and imported beers, mixer drinks and wines.

The centre is open daily except Tuesdays from 10am until late.

Kegel Barn Melbourne.  A new 4 lane centre will be opening by late October 2010 in Melbourne.  This will be only a small venue, located in a prominent hotel.  We are very excited with the location and we will keep you updated as the works progress.

Kegel Barn Queensland.  This centre will be in tropical Queensland and will feature 7 Kegel lanes.  The venue should be open before Christmas 2010. 

Both of the new centres will feature our new games software and have “glow in the dark” lighting.
